Cooperative Spirit
At Dit i Fet, cooperation is part of the project’s DNA. From day one, Marta and Miquel understood that their bakery could not grow in isolation, but had to do so hand in hand with other producers, institutions, and groups who share the same passion for the land, local products, and Catalan gastronomic culture. Their commitment to the territory has resulted in multiple collaborations that go beyond the commercial sphere. Dit i Fet is an active member of the Col·lectiu Eixarcolant, an organization dedicated to recovering forgotten plants and traditional varieties, which provides valuable knowledge for the creations made in their workshop. This relationship is key to keeping the agricultural legacy of the area alive and introducing unique ingredients into their *cocs*.
They are also regular participants in fairs and events such as Firacoc and the Tàrrega Christmas Market, where they share their work with neighbors and visitors, giving visibility to traditional *cocs* as well as the latest innovations. This spirit of closeness and participation strengthens their bond with the community and encourages the transmission of culinary knowledge. Additionally, they have collaborated with other local businesses, such as Casa Borges, with whom they have developed unique recipes—like *cocs* made with their highest quality pistachios—demonstrating that the union of efforts can lead to exceptional gastronomic proposals.
Dit i Fet has also been involved in cultural and audiovisual initiatives, such as Cultures Trobades (8TV), which has allowed them to share their philosophy and project with a wider audience, reinforcing the value of the *coc* as a living gastronomic heritage of Catalonia.
The cooperative spirit that permeates every action at Dit i Fet is not just a business strategy but a way of understanding life and territory: sharing, collaborating, and joining efforts to preserve and innovate within tradition. Thus, every *coc* that comes out of their oven is also the fruit of a network of people and entities who love the land and what it can offer.
